Hello
my 1979 chrysler new yorker has very low oil pressure and the gauge is pretty accurate. when i was changing the oil there was small pieces of the oil filter material in the oil (3-5mm in size) could they be blocking the oil pickup tube? if not what else could be wrong?
thank you and have a great day.
You had previously said the engine was in good shape?! - https://carkiller.com/scottykilmer/qa/79-chrysler-new-yorker/
mechanically it is, there's no nocking and it has really good compression in all 8

- Well any piece of debris can clog up the system if you're worried about that I would run a good engine flush tons of them out there just follow the directions on the can. Pray it's something that simple cuz otherwise replacing an oil pump or gaskets that won't put in correctly by the pump is an expensive endeavor
