I have a 3L turbo diesel Holden rodeo, and I just finished rebuilding it, is it normal for a rebuilt engine to crank so long, and no, I have started it before, so it's not because it doesn't have fuel. It only happens when I first start it, within a few hours of starting for the first time that day, it will start right up. but it will crank forever once it has cooled down.
thanks
The OP’s vehicle is a rebadged Isuzu diesel pickup - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden_Rodeo
Its a 2003 holden rodeo ra tfs77 manual 450000 km, ob2 ports not working

No that's not normal generally that means you have a problem with the cold start system. have the glow plug system checked first
Thanks, i'll check it, but i don't think i would need a cold start system when the ambient temp is 25 degrees Celsius anyway?
