- Hey Scotty, 1986 Merkur XR4ti 2.3t, was running fine beside an occasional bog down after a long ride that would go away after reving the engine. Out of nowhere the turbo stopped producing more than a pound of boost. Any clue what’s going on?

Has the wastegate rod become disconnected? (Clip holding it in place may have rusted off. Common problem on Saab turbos.)
