1987 Ford f-250 (bricknose) w/ 6.9 deisal/manual trans

Hello all! 

Im looking to get this truck i saw on facebook market listed for about a mid-high 2k. Im very skeptical when it comes to fb sellers so i do proceed my searches with caution. Seller says it's a little rough around the edges, does run and drive, and would be a perfect farm truck. He also states that it has unknown mileage because they don't know whether or not the odometer has rolled over or how many times it has. Its decent looking but a lil hard on the eyes. Idk much about this year and the bricknose generation but i do like the available 6.9 trans. As a horse person, i might hook up a 2 stall trailer every blue moon or not. But i'm looking for something to be my every other day farm truck and a lift for granny, if you catch my vibe. I would go for a ford 350 or a chevy 3500 but they got so many underlying issues for the wallet and i can't do that right now. I'm not a fan of dodge pickups and toyotas can't work the shift with me. Unless im convinced otherwise. Is this a good find and is it worth pouring love into or should i find a twin?
