Hello,
I have a question about my 1987 Honda Civic Si with 187,000 miles. I'm confused as why this 4th generation (EC3) car comes with a third generation engine (D15A3). Why do you think this is? I'm trying to find exhaust parts for this engine and the battery holder. Are there alternatives to the battery holder and exhaust parts?

There are lots of aftermarket ones for the parts you are looking for. Simply google it.
The 89-91 Civic Si's battery holder plate fits great for my vehicle as it shares the same battery group as 87's. You think the 89-91 exhaust system will fit for this vehicle as I should switch the 87's cat converter with the 89-91's
