How do I fix high idle

Hi Scotty,

I recently bought a 1989 Toyota Celica GT coupe from my girlfriend's mother for $1200. It has 176000 miles and it runs like a clock. Anyway, I'm new to vehicles and vehicle maintenance and had some questions. What would be the best wiper blades you'd recommend? When I start it up cold, the car idles at 2000 rpm, but then after running for a few minutes, it settles down to 1500 rpm when it park,(in drive, it idles around 1000). Is this something to be worried about? Is synthetic engine oil okay to use in it during an oil change as long as it's the proper viscosity?

Thanks Scotty.

For the wiper blade, get the silicon type.

For the high idle rpm, clean the IAC valve, and your throttle body.
