Hey Scotty.

I've been a fan for a long time, it's the first time I'm asking a question though. I have a Honda Civic with the d15b motor non VTEC and I got the crankshaft pulley bolt off but the actual pulley itself is stuck to the crank shaft and im not able to get it off, I tried a mallet and a puller but no luck. do you have any ideas??

I’m not sure of the technical names.

When removing the crankshaft pulley (I think) there was a little key that held it in place. It was rectangular in shape. Maybe ¼ inch by ⅓ inch. And about 2 inches long when taken out.

The pulley is usually bolted to the harmonic balancer which is bolted to the crank shaft and utilizes a key and keyway.  There should be three or four smaller (6mm or 8mm) diameter bolts holding the pulley to the balancer.  Once they're removed, the pulley comes right off.  It's the balancer that needs the 3 or 4 bolt puller for removal.
