1989 Ford F250 460 2WD with non-working turn signals and reverse lights.
So I just got this old truck, and the turn signals and reverse lights don't work. Considering that both of these functions run on the same fuse, I naturally figured it was the fuse, changed the fuse and it didn't fix it. I then checked to see if the fuse and blinker relay were getting power, and they both are as they are supposed to. While I suppose that both of these problems could be unrelated, it seems more likely that they are related, but I don't have any other ideas other than the wiring could be grounding out somewhere. Any help on why this would be much appreciated, as I want to see if I can figure anything else out before I give up and take it to a mechanic. Turn works as it's supposed to, self cancels and everything.
Well that thing's so old. Who knows what's wrong with it. Start by checking the ground wires. If the ground wires go bad, nothing will work because you need power from the power wires. But then every single light has to also be grounded to connect the circuit. You can just easily reground them by splicing the wire to the ground and running new grounds and bolt them to the body
