Hi Scotty, I have a 1989 3rd Honda prelude 2.0si 4ws (b20a5) with 285xxx kms , it has an issue where it has a super low idle and when revved, it bounces of 2k rpm unless you put your foot down. It’s flashing code 1 oxygen content. I’ve changed both o2 sensors and I’ve cleaned the IAC VALVE and I’ve cleaned the throttle body as-well as changing out the air filter. This used to be intermittent and it would go away by itself however now it is staying an won’t go away, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
- Well you have something wrong with the fuel injection system. You can get a code for oxygen sensor but the oxygen sensor just reports data and it off in flags. The sensor when the dad is bad. Even though the sensor isn't the problem. It's just reporting the problem. For my experience. Those old things a lot of times. You just have to replace the throttle assembly itself they just flat wear out inside?
Hi Scotty today I was detailing the engine bay of the car and trying to check for vacuum leaks to try and find the issue, however after detailing the engine the car started up no problem. I was wondering if water could have got into a plug and jumped the sensor or something
