Hi Scotty
- Do I have grounds to give the truck back?
I have a 2021 ford f150 30,000 miles so it’s stil under warranty. I bought it last year when inventory was non existent. The truck is nice it’s a lariat. It has the panoramic sunroof. Upon researching it appears to be a big problem with possible clogged drain hoses causing interior leaking through speakers. I had a problem a few month Ago where my battery was dead dead and wouldn’t take a charge or jump. I just figured out what happened. During a rain storm a few nights ago I could hear some banging?? I go out with my gun and…. It’s coming from my truck??? I’m thinking, did my wife kidnap someone and leave them in the truck? The truck was not running. I open the drivers door. And the noise is coming from the drivers rear so I open that door. There wasn’t a kidnapped victim the speaker was pulsing making the banging noise. As I get my phone to record the problem, of course the fast pulse/ banging has slowed but at least it was still going on while I recorded it. So. I go to bed the noise stopped.
we go to use the truck the next day. It’s dead dead. So the slowed pulsing was because the battery was pretty drained and then the battery died.
it did take a jump from my Gooloo!!! That thing is AWESOME. SO. now i figured out 2 things. Why my battery died previously and rain is causing some kind of short. My wife had videoed water dripping from a speaker in the headliner and from somewhere else. Next I want to replicate the scenario with a hose but do I have a case to return the truck? I can’t have a $70,000 truck raining on me. I’ll be making payments for years. I’m so tired of cheap craftsmanship. - any advice would be appreciated on how to handle this.

Well it shouldn't leak of course. Being that new I'd take it to Ford to get him to fix it. But odds are they'll never give you another truck. Poor workmanship isn't something that you can get the lemon law to fix.
Thank you for the response my wife and I love your videos. We love your enthusiasm. “Rev up your engines”

Same thing happened to my friends brand new 2021 Explorer. He paid 53k for it. It came with sunroof as well. 2 months after the purchase, water started leaking down from the sunroof. After the dealership fixed it, he traded it in for a new Honda Pilot. If they can't even get a simple sunroof made right, I doubt they added enough bolts to the rest of the car.
