I recently bought a 1990 300zx TT with a a few aftermarket parts (silicone hoses, Z1 BA intercoolers) on stock turbos. The owner openly stated that it won't make boost and he stated that he isn’t sure whether there's a seized turbo, boost leak or if the AEM brand boost solenoid is bad. The car idles fine and drives like what I would assume an NA motor would drive like, with no smoke.
Is going and having a boost leak test the only way to determine where the issue is? I know nothing about turbos.

Is your wastegate stuck open or maybe the wastegate actuator came loose and it's dumping all the boost?
