1990 Mitsubshi Mirage won't start

I'm planning to buy a 1990 Mitsubishi Mirage / Lancer, 1.5 fuel injected, automatic
120 000 miles / 194 000 km, doesn't run at the moment.

The owner drove the car, parked it during half and hour and it never restarted since then.

There is spark, timing belt is good, fuel is coming to the fuel rail. It fired for a second after squirting brake cleaner in the intake.

The injectors are not squirting any fuel when cranking the engine. I thought the fuel cutoff relay in the center console was bad, but same problem after replacing it.

When the key is on, the fuel pump runs nonstop... which seems weird to me

What could cause this no start problem ?

Watch Scotty’s video on the subject - https://youtu.be/064Ilsz8Fzg

Are you sure you want to buy that car? It’s probably approaching the end of its useful life. If a good mechanic checks the car out before you buy it, and it’s good, I wouldn’t pay very much (<$1000) for a 31yr old Mitsubishi.

Thank you for the video !

In this case, obviously the issue is related to fuel.
Since I hear the fuel pump running and i have pressure coming to the fuel rail, but it still won't start, it's gotta be something really weird.

I'm planning to pay about 300 - 400$ for the car, since it doesn't run.
Vintage japanese cars are quite rare in my area, especially rust free since like this one.
