Looking for a fun little toy. I am looking at a 1991 c4 corvette with a L98 engine and a 4 speed auto. 82k miles. Vehicle has been well maintained the only problem is the sway bars in the front and rear are starting to squeak. He's asking 6,800 is it worth it?
Replace the sway bar bushings and offer him $5k.
Sway bar bushings are cheap and easy to change out. I'm with @Doc on $5k mark. The '91 'vette with the L98 wasn't stellar, it was ok, but it's going to be a toy good for nice weekend cruising.
Pretty cool ride BUT those had a lot of electrical issues with that dam dash. ALWAYS negotiate!Too bad it wasn't a manual.
I rode in a late 80s C4 once. The interior panels squeaked and rattled horribly.
That being said, for the right price a '91 could be a fun toy.
