1994 Toyota Toyoace Truck with 3Y engine 2 issues

I just brought a 1994 Toyota Toyoace Truck with 3Y engine with only 35k miles which appear to be genuine.

I did a long trip to pick it up and it runs beautifully.

However it has two issues (I think).

1. The automatic choke seems to stick on, flicking the accelerator can turn it off sometimes but not always.

-- Is there something I can spray it with or best to just replace it?

2. The power steering pump seems to do a bit more whining than I would expect.

-- I don't know if it was whining when I first got it and the oil level is spot on so it's not low.

-- Once the whining starts how long before it will fail generally?

-- Is there much drama in replacing it? Seems to be fairly accessible.

Check your power steering by jacking up the front, start the engine and turn the wheel lock to lock 5 or six times to see if there was any air in the system.  If the electric choke seems to be sticking, spray some carb cleaner on the ends of the choke plate shaft and connecting rod so everything moves freely.
