Hey Scotty looking for old cheap car like a rx7 from the 1990s which is a 1991 rx7 that has 68,000 miles any thoughts about it the car is in florida in mint condition and being Sold on Craigslist for $7,500 while I found one at hgreg for a awful lot of money can you believe it should I pay for the one that's $7,500 or am I gonna be paying too much
don't waste your time
Getting into an RX7 of that vintage is a highly specialized endeavor. You need to do your homework. Pick up a shop manual and get familiar, contact a regional RX7 club, talk to owners, look at a dozen or so in person and pick the owner’s brains about valuations... then go find your dream car. But just buying one off CL is a regret waiting to happen.
Correction is a 1988 rx7 they selling it for private owner $7,500 has 68k miles
do those have the wankel engine?
they didn't fare well
Don't even think about it....
Ur gonna be pulling your hair out with all the insane repairs on those rotary engines.
Are you well versed on the ins and outs of those vehicles and plan to do all the work (including engine work) yourself? Will it be a weekend/project car you work on the side? Do you have many thousand dollars saved up to fix all the issues that would arise including the engine? Are you okay with poor gas mileage rotaries can get? Otherwise, I would completely pass on that vehicle, and rotary engine vehicles in general.
