So recently my 93 silverado decided to stopped charging the battery, so as everyone will think it's probably alternator going bad, so I buy a acdelco alternator and installed it, later on that day took the truck for a test drive and it did the same thing it just drained up the battery, so I decided to just buy a new battery even tho my battery was a year old. Ok so I swapped batteries and added a new positive wire from the alternator to the battery and a new ground from the chassis to the battery, it worked for a while until again going back home the battery started to drain and now I'm stuck with this problem I try to jump it and it drains quick, I checked every fuse that could be related to the battery or alternator and everything seems to be fine. If someone has experience the same problem please help a brother out!!! I'm so frustrated that it won't charge at all.. please and thank you!!
The new alternator might be faulty. Load test both the battery and alternator.
you need to pick up a multimeter and start probing voltages.
Your fusible link could have burned out.
