Hello I've been on the search recently for a used Acura for a cheap price and I found somebody on marketplace selling a Acura legend that runs and drives for $1,300 but it's about a 2 hour drive from my house. The car has 258,000 miles on it and I know Acura can run a long time is it scary getting a car that high miles for cheap? Also if it drives just fine according to the owner should it give me any problem driving it two hours home? Thanks
I don't trust whatever seller tells me unless there is an absolute proof for that. That car is 28 years old with over a quarter milion miles and in this market, you want to buy it for a little over $1000. These are all red flags to me. Another thing is that I don't trust people on the FB market place since 9 out of 10, they are scams.
Pass.
A 28 year old car with 258,000 miles from Facebook Marketplace for $1,300? You will most certainly spend much more than that to get it all sorted out. It’s just not worth it.
A hard pass for me.
