Hi I've got a Toyota solara 06 125k miles, engine and rpm seems to rise slightly when I turn steering wheel left or right, I notice  this when I start the car or when I'm in park and i try to adjust the steering wheel, it this normal.

Yes it is normal there is an idle up sensor on the power steering power steering takes up energy so that switch sets the idle a little higher so the engine doesn't stall out when you're going slow and turning

Okay scotty thank sir
