I am interested in buying a 1995 Lexus LS400. It has 120,000 miles. The guy is asking $6000, should I buy it as my daily and how much should it be worth?
I know it will need the scheduled maintenance and I will ask my mechanic for going over the car.
Not a good car for daily driving. Those are thirsty for gas and have high maintenance costs. With that age, you should also expect that the rubber and plastic parts are dry rotted and need to be replaced which are not cheap too.
At that age and mileage and due to the fact it will be used as a daily driver, I would pass. Consequently, you can easily spend more than the car is worth in sorting things out with the car.
It is just too old for the price. Maybe get a lexus ls430 or something for that price range.
I found a 1992 with only 34000 original miles, its a beauty. Guy is adamant at $15000. Just a bit to sleep for me...
