1996 Chevy Lumina V6 (3100)
We recently bought my husbands grandparents 1996 Chevy Lumina (they bought brand new in 1996) It has 59,150 miles on it. So very low miles. Runs good, Son did change a coil pack (just one) and the wires as it was running rough when we first got it (It had sat a year) No lights on the dash or anything but Fans are not working? Son looked at the relay tonight and he can make the fans come on if he squeezes the relay (I guess to touch it into on position) but other wise they do not come on (tried with AC on max too) He's going to pick up a new relay tomorrow and possibly the temperature sensor? Should this fix the problem or is there something else that is common on these older Luminas? (We are toyota fans but we couldnt pass up a low miles, one owner (our family) lumina for $200!)
Well tons of things go wrong on GM's. They have ground wiring problems that can do that computer module problems. My advice is if simple things like realize don't fix it. I would just get a toggle switch and I'd rewire systems to run directly off of toggle switch wiring and a fuse
