1996 ford mustang 3.8l v6 what is the model of the transmission and how much shift solenoid has this transmission

If you are troubleshooting a particular issue with your transmission, then you need to post what the actual symptoms are for us to help you. Replacing solenoids may do absolutely nothing.

I believe that 6 cylinder mustangs that year were still using Ford's 4R70W "AOD" (Automatic Overdrive) transmission, which is basically the company's 1960s-vintage 3-speed box with an overdrive gear and electronic controls added. Solenoid kits for that transmission appear to have 3 solenoids.
