1996 GMC Sierra K1500 5.7L V8
Hello I removed the oil filter adapter from the block so im cleaning the spot where this bolts back on. The old gasket seems to be stuck on. I can't figure this is something that's meant to stay there, or maybe its designed that way? see pic.. It doesn't want to come off I've tried to scrape and spray with different chemicals. Thank you.

It's probably just baked on I would see if you can buy a new one if you can then just get razor blades and whatever scrape it off
