1996 honda accord lx coupe
Good evening scotty or any fellow mechanics! i have a 1996 honda accord lx coupe auto trans with 140105 miles on and I currently have the SRS light on. i bought a srs service light tool from the honda dealer website to reset the light and followed an online forum to proceed on the procedure on resetting the light, but it seems like the light doesnt flash or blink like its supposed too when i connect the light. I have no idea on how to reset the light or check if theres any problem on why the SRS light is on and disabled the airbags. Do you have any idea on what i should do or anyone and how i should go about fixing it? unfortunately with this year of the accord i cannot check with the OBII port so im stumped
All right one resetting doesn't do anything if the light is on because that means there is a problem. If you don't fix the problem, the light will just continue to stay on. Now that car as old as the hills odds are sensors are wiring or the airbag module itself has gone bad and they caused a fortune. But if you really want to know, you find a guy like me with a fancy scan tool and pay him to go through the system to find out what is broken down. Realize it's not a cheap fix and seat belts work really well as long as you buckle them up
Thank you so much! I will do that exactly
