Hi Scotty,
I have a 1996 Pontic Boonville and I'm having a problem: When I start the engine there is a sound coming from under the dash and it goes away after a few seconds. It sounds like a vac. leak but it stopes. Also the outside temp gauge blinks off and own for about 30 Sec. I have not checked it out yet untill I ask for your comments. The car has only 36,000 miles on the car I bought it new. Been garage kept. Only take out on good clear days. PLEASE HELP.

Your Pontiac Bonneville could possibly be suffering from a vacuum leak. It is over 25 years old, so I assume some sort of cheap rubber or plastic is broken.
Does it idle high? Does it run poorly?
