1997 Acura CL 2.2L: Stuck drain plug from the engine block

Hello,

Is there a way to remove the stuck drain plug that is located at the rear of the engine block next to the oil filter on my 1997 Acura CL 2.2L with 200K miles?  I want to drain the coolant from the engine block.  I tried using the long 1/2 inch breaker bar with a 19mm socket the best way I could, and ended up stripping the bolt end a bit.  I also used the PB blaster to spray around the bolt to remove it and still have no luck.

Thanks so much!

why do you want to drain the block? In most cases it's better to leave it alone.

If it's safe to do so you could try applying heat to the surrounding areas using a small torch and then stick an ice cube on the bolt

you can also try gently tapping the bolt
