Hello Scotty I have a 1997 Chevrolet c/k 1500 5.7 v 8 it will start to shifting hard from 1 to 2 gear when hot or when I drive it a lot. Almost like a kick when shifting. If I let it cool down it goes away but when it gets hot it wants to kick between 1 and second gear only. Nobody can really give me a clear answer. I had the transmission re built over a year ago. Thanks for helping all of us.

never rebuild transmissions. They will fail soon. Always get remanufactured.
If the fluid is full , then you probably need another transmission.
