Hi! I have a 1997 Lincoln town car executive. Just bought it, too! Has 113k miles on it. I wanted to know what I can do to make it a little faster on a tight budget. Also, will I have to replace the transmission? I don't plan on racing the car, but every once in a while I like to punch the gas pedal.

It's an old car leave it alone they had less horsepower back in the day you mess around with an old car like that you're going to destroy it. It's not a race car it's a highway cruising car and as long as it shifts okay and runs good be happy it's working when there's that old you don't modify them unless you want to spend a fortune rebuilding everything
