1997 Nissan Maxima turned off at the stop sign & would not start up

Hello, my 1997 Nissan maxima just turned off at the stop sign and would not start back up. PLEAsE HELP ME!!!!!!

The day before I put a brand new battery in the car

 I put a brand new alternator in the car

I Put a brand new fuel pressure regulator on the car

Note: the RPM gauge bounces erratically all the way to 7 and 8

and frantically goes back & forth.

Please help, I’m tired of spending money on guessing.

That thing is nearly 30 years old, almost anything could be wrong with it. See the troubleshooting section of the FAQ for diagnostic tips. Also be aware that new parts are not necessarily good parts, and parts that have been recently replaced should not be excluded from being tested.

swing by an auto parts store and have them run some free diagnostics on it.
