Hello scotty I recently purchased a 97 nissan hardbody 2wd with the 4 cylinder 250 000km on it .I have about a 50km commute to work one way in 5th gear at 110km hr it sits at about 3000rpm is it healthy for the engine to run at that rpm for an extended period of time ? I considered a taller gear to reduce rpm and help fuel economy but I would loose the low end torque .I have also been told bigger/ taller tires could help ?Thanks for everything you do .

It doesn't hurt anything changing the tires wouldn't do much anyways
