My 98 Camry V6 has about 255000 miles on it with only two codes, one for Bank 1 O2 sensor heater circuit and one for the speed sensor that’s been causing the speedometer to go out. The gas mileage has been pretty pitiful in the city lately but actually pretty decent on the highway. Is the O2 sensor the whole problem or are there other common issues I should look at?
@scottykilmer I don’t get any actual data from the car, but it takes about a quarter tank to go 30 minutes of city driving
FYI -Scotty only answers questions once and doesn't revisit them. There's no way to determine your gas mileage without a properly functioning odometer. Gas mileage cannot be determined from gas tank levels alone.

Assuming you have a PO130 code then yes, your gas mileage could suffer. Here's a link to the code's meaning, symptoms and solutions: https://www.obd-codes.com/p0130
Well, you can try the sensor, but if your odometer isn't working, how do you know what your gas mileage is. He might actually be getting the same gas mileage, but since your odometer doesn't work, it's not reading the mileage right? So you get faulty mileage readings
