I have a 1998 chevy S10 blazer 3.0 v6, no crank no start no dash lights, brand new battery

Ok. Are the battery cables in good condition? Meaning no corrosion or mice takeouts along the length of them. Also check the main fuse (on the firewall next to the battery).
