What do you think about the 360 5.9 lamarie magnum 

My father-in-law has a 1998 Dodge Ram 2500, but his is powered by a Cummins straight-six turbodiesel. It's rusted to heck, but the frame is still solid. It has an extended cab and an 8-foot bed. Check any prospective vehicle, especially a body-on-frame vehicle for rust. If it passes a visual inspection, take it to a trustworthy mechanic to check it out. Don't pay a whole bunch for it. His oil gauge is funky, probably from being old, and it's a Chrysler product, so the electronics are screwy. The radio also comes on and turns completely off as well, randomly. The blower also doesn't work... Haha.  

Well, for starters it's 26 years old which alone can mean a host of age-related problems.

Maybe you could be more specific.  Like... what are common problems? What things should you inspect if buying one? The more specific your question, the more useful the answers will be.
