[Solved] 1998 Ford F-150 with a manual transmission with the 4.6 liter engine

When I have driven for 30 miles or more the transmission seems to shift differently.  The clutch has a heavier feel and it doesn't shift as easy.  Does the fluid need to be changed out or is there something else going on.  No leaks of transmission fluid or anything like that.

The truck also has 130,000 miles.

Sure you can try draining out the old fluid and putting in fresh fluid.

If you’re still on the original clutch, it may also be time for a complete clutch overhaul.
