Hey Scotty,

My wife and I have the potential to inherit a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo. I've been doing research into the car and haven't been able to find a whole lot of info regarding the vehicle's history and engine reliability. Generally people seem to like them, but most people don't work on cars themselves either. The family swears by it but she is in rough shape, and has had issues with stalling out (supposedly fixed) and fuel leaks. If we do take on the vehicle I'd like to know what I can reasonably expect to need to do to keep her running. How hard is it to find parts here in the US? Some info: about 130k miles, 6 cylinder motor, 4x4 works just fine, manual (yay!), ABS (light is on). I'm on the fence. I'd love to have the vehicle but if it takes a hell of a lot to get her running tip-top I'd like to know if it's really worth it.

I would pass on it.  Also, parts will be harder to find on those (being an Isuzu and that old).  See below:  you also have rubber, bushings, belts, seals, plastic, etc. that would need to be replaced due to age.
