- hey scotty, seen a 1999 BMW 328i on offerup have never driven german vehicles and wanted to know if they’re good, has 157k miles with a 5 speed standard transmission, comes with a new radiator and claims it runs very good but is asking for $1,900, this legit?
If it’s going to be a daily driver and you plan on racking up the miles (it’s already high mileage!) - definitely pass on it. You will spend more money in repairs over time than the car is worth.
The price point or the bmw is ight, seen a lot worse for a lot less nowadays. They are fun to drive but I wouldn't recommend it as a daily. If this is a project or secondary weekend car you will have a better time with it. About time to do oil pan (100k+) and water pump (every 50-75k miles) if haven't done already... if you want to keep it, the value will probably go up in a bit of time as the e30 current market is through the roof and people are looking for the next thing lol, do get it looked at thoroughly. preferably at a bmw shop so they can tell ya everything about it if you do plan to buy.
