Hello Scotty, here it goes. I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 with about 265,000 miles on it. My daughter was driving it and while turning a corner all of a sudden it stopped going forward. The engine was still running but the truck would not engage driving forward. she tried to put it in park, but it grinded because it was still in drive mode. she had it pushed home and turned the key off then it went into park mode and there it sits. can you help me?

Is there anything hanging off the bottom, i.e. the driveshaft?
It sounds like the transmission gave out honestly.

Sounds like the tranny said can’t do it anymore. Those 99s it’s common for those transmissions to drop around 200k mi.
