Scotty,
I have a 1999 GMC Safari SLE Van with 92,000 miles in very good condition but the fuel gauge quit working.
What is the best way to remedy this vehicle malady?

Probably a problem with the sending unit in the fuel tank.
Seems like you need a new fuel pump.
