Hey all,
I am in the market for a used tundra. I am between an 07 with 150k miles or a 2013 280k miles. Both vehicles seem in great shape. I know tundra are built to last but after looking at motorbiscuit, I'm thinking nay to the 07. I'll put the link below as to what I mean. I know I want the extended cab and the 8ft bed.

Please advise, I am not a mechanic myself but do the simple things on my own vehicle. The 07 is selling for $8500, the 13 is selling for $12500.
Thanks
Get the 07.
I would go 2007. A lot less miles AND less money.
Get the 2007 Tundra since they offer less money. Check with the mechanic and check the titles.
Right the offer is less, but will I have to worry about that frame problem or the engine problems stated by mototbiscuit? If it was fixed would that show in recalls or just in say a carfax....
280k is a lot of miles, even for a 13 Tundra. Just because they - can - go 400k, that doesn’t mean that every unit will. I suppose that to get that many miles in 8 years it’s mostly highway miles. But Scotty’s 10-to-1 rule notwithstanding, that truck is gonna have a lot of parts at end of life.
Whats his 10 to 1 rule?
@jkwimberly 10:1 rule is, for example, if you go 100,000 miles on a highway that's equivalent to 10,000 miles in the city (or stop and go driving) in terms of wear and tear (and vice versa). 100,000 miles of city (or stop and go) driving would be the equivalent of 1 million highway miles.
Awesome, thank you all for the advice, 07 it is!
