Heyyy Scotty, long time fan and appreciate the effort on educating us all on vehicles. I'm considering purchasing a new 2025 Toyota Tundra with the 3.5 6 cylinder mainly because i can't find a used pre-2022 with the 5.7 with lower mileage, in good shape for a reasonable price. They used ones are almost as expensive as the new ones. Given the problems that the new 6 cylinder, is it wise to wait longer to try to find one with the 5.7?

Look for the V8. Those six-cylinder ones are garbage even if the engines didn't blow up this early as they are. It's just a stupid design when they had a great V8. Heck you could even buy a V8 that's got high mileage with the worn out engine. Put another engine in for 10 grand or so
