Hey Scotty,
Well, the time is coming. Our Ford Explorer is on its way out rusting bit by bit and the wife said we can start looking. What is the best year Toyota we should keep an eye out for? We are looking for a 4runner mostly, but would also not turn down a good deal on perhaps a Sequoia or an older, smaller Tundra. Not the big, modern ones. Definitely do not want those new crappy 4 cylinder turbo engines. Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated because I am going to look all over the country and/or go wherever to get it! Thanks.
have you heard anything about these companies that you pay to find you a car you want to save you the trouble of looking?
Scotty does not usually revisit topics he has already answered. (I personally have no knowledge of such companies.)
Well, definitely do not buy the 4-cylinder turbos they're garbage. Other than that, they're all pretty well made vehicles. It's just a matter of what's out there and what you can find in a decent price range. The main thing you want to do is check the vehicle out when it's cold cuz every once in awhile you get one that has clacking noises when you start it up from worn wrist pins inside the engine
