Hey Scotty, I recently purchased a 2018 Honda Accord Sport 2.0t manual with 42k miles. Installed a catch can and noticed some oil seepage from the valve cover on the back of the engine. Not pooling and doesn’t appear to be serious. Is this normal for the mileage? Should I have it replaced/fixed? Love the channel - LMK!
Is this oil dilution? Is it mixing with gas?
Allegedly that’s only a problem specific to the 1.5t not the 2.0t (detuned Type-R variant).
It has some of the oil dilution issue but not as serious as the 1.5l
Shouldn’t have any leaks at that mileage. It’s under warranty still isn’t it?
No, it is not under warranty.
Should be at that mileage, unless it’s a rebuilt title or something happened to void the warranty. Even if your the second owner the original manufacturer warranty is in effect. But in either case, I would go ahead and get it fixed.
