I have a 2000 dodge neon and I just replaced my water pump and timing belt and timing belt tensioner and it ran roughy but I took it apart and put it back together and I fixed the problem because it was timing belt tensioner do I have to have a high quality belt tensioner

No but quality parts usually fit better and last longer
