I drive a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, its an Automatic and has a few mods. Recently its been vibrating alot when i go uphill. I sometimes notice that the RPM's drop too low for going uphill (roughly around 1000-12000). Is this a transmission issue?

If you’ve got >150,000 miles on her, yeah, could well be the transmission.

Any codes?

Have you checked your fuel pressure?

It has 198k miles on it.
It shows a check engine light but idk what the code is since my OBD2 port isnt functional. My fuel pressure is completely fine since the last time i checked

Well..damn. Does the shudder stop if you lift your foot off the gas pedal, when going uphill?

Yea it will stop shuddering

Sounds like torque converter clutch shudder. Have it inspected by a transmission specialist & consider replacing your broken OBD2 port with another working one, from a junkyard.
