2000 f350 dully v10 286000 mi

I have kept up with oil change.  It is a work truck I pull heavy loads with it ....  I noticed some shinny slivers when I drained oil .but I filled up with fuel the other day and got on the highway I passed someone and the truck fell on its face started shaking and Making lots of clanking noises I took it to the shop without looking at it they told me the engine was blown up after he started it and rebed it up I go to pick it up and it won't turn over now just makes a clicking sound the battery has full charge i checked the oil and no oil on the dip stick and I just changed the oil  last week, but it won't start, was just wondering if u had any ideas what it may be?
