i found a used f150 with a little rust and an aftermarket radio

Your decision. Has no real value, whatever someone wants to pay. Same basic engine/trans as Crown Vic but has different ECU and harness, parts easy to come by except seats, which wear clear down to springs before you know it. Fairly easy to work on, might make a decent run-around truck but will never be anything like classic. But if has not been maintained, it can easily be a money pit.
