Hey everyone, I have a 2000 Ford Ranger v6 3.0 L with 160,000 miles with an automatic. Currently, the truck is giving me codes p0320, p0301,p0136,p0401, and p0402. Now the last three, the truck have had them for months and no noticeable issue were present. However, today the first 2 codes appeared, while I was getting the highway and started to accelerate the engine shut off and I proceeded to turn it back on and after a couple miles it did it again. Something else, I noticed was that all this happens at around 50 mph. The truck starts to act up and trying to stall (sometimes doing so) and another thing is that the speedometer needle starts being erratic. At idle it feels almost normal, with like a very slight feeling misfire At lower speeds it doesn't appear to act this way and doesn't try to stall.
I have a feeling that is some sensor but not sure. Hopefully you guys can help.
Thanks!
I google searched that P0320 code in the 2000 Ford Ranger. It's a crankshaft position sensor fault to the computer, but in the Ranger, it doesn't necessarily mean the CPS is bad. The stuff I read says it's more than likely not. It's possibly a wiring issue. Google Search P0320 2000 Ford Ranger and read through the Ranger forums that come up. One guy had a similar issue to yours, and it ended up being a wiring problem.
