Hi Scotty,  First thank you for all the tips and tricks you give to the community. Your honesty is refreshing and appreciated.

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3 -  The engine has about 100k on a new crate motor, and it runs smooth. But about a month ago, I got the P0332 code.  Knowing these engines are notorious for that, I just decided to change the sensors, and do the RTV dam per GM's bulletin. Which I did with dealer purchased OEM sensors and a new wiring harness. ( yes only 15 pounds torque on sensors)   Started her up, and the check engine light went off in the first 2 mins.  Happy, I when on my way.

About 200 miles ( give or take ) I got the check light again. And once again the P0332 code. Big bummer.  So I did what I should have done the first time. I took out my cheap $50.00 Oscillisope and checked the old knock sensors first. Both give me a good signal.  Then I hooked it up to the new sensor leads, tapped the engine with a bar, and got the same good signal from both sides. Frustrating!! After a few hours of youtube, I cleaned the EGR valve, checked the fuel trim both short and long and they are spot on to spec. Pulled the connectors off PCM and they are clean, connector at the new harness was good, put a little dielectric grease, cleared the code,  it keeps coming back. Sometimes in just 10 miles, sometimes in a hundred +.

Scotty where do I go from here ???   please help.
