Im looking at buying a 2000 Honda Civic si with 240 thousand on it. I’m going to rebuild the engine and transmission. My question is, the car is known to get stolen. Any advice on how to stop that? Maybe a kill switch or removable steering wheel. 🤷‍♂️ thanks and love your YouTube channel.

I think if you look out for your car and take the most safety procedures to make sure its not going to get stolen then do it, those vehicles can be a real fun treat and make everything seem so worth it, definitely install a kill switch and removal steering wheel while looking out for your car wherever you go don't take your eyes off of it treat it like a baby

You can install a kill switch. there are some vides on Youtube.

Also, you can use the steering wheel lock to lower the chance.

Scotty recommends to remove the Fuel pump relay. I think this is the best way.

Good luck.

@yaser
Thanks. I’ll just have to pass on that car

Those are thief magnets! Quite rare to find one that hasn't already been stolen and/or have parts replaced. Best theft deterrent is to keep it in the garage. If thieves want them, they'll get them. They've figured out just about every way to take them. A buddy of mines goes a far as removing the ECU every time he parks his to prevent it from getting stolen.

Definitely do the Kill Switch option and maybe install a LOjack system if you have the money.
