yes i was wondering what could possibly be causing my spark plug thread keeps getting wet , the only thing that's wet is the threads on spark plug cylinder 4 i dont think its oil because the wetness is clear also the other 3 spark plugs are fine except cylinder 4 the other thing to the tip and L shaped part of the spark plug is fine and dry except the threads are wet the other thing to the L shaped part of the spark plug is a little darker than the other 3 spark plugs car, i did change the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals recently but still having issues with cylinder 4 ok thanks
Well figure out what the wet is is it oil or is it water you want to pray it's not water cuz that means the head gasket is starting to blow what I do is use ultraviolet leak die and if you put it in the engine oil and you find that the wetness on the plugs glows then it's engine oil leaking for the seal. Watch my video finding car oil leaks Scotty
OK i will do that and see what happens thanks , but another thing to could bad threads were the spark plug screws into cause the spark plug thread to get wet , cause another thing to that's been happening and it never did it before until the last couple of months is when you screw in the spark plug in cylinder 4 it goes in easy but when you go to take it back out to check there is kinda resistance instead of coming out easy , ever since Ive had the car its always been easy to screw in the spark plug on cylinder 4 and easy to take out to check, , the weird thing is the car drives OK i get decent gas mileage and my coolant level doesn't go down that much from driving ok thanks
i got another question could i just put some type of sealant or Teflon tape on the spark plug thread for cylinder 4 and see what happens but not sure it would be safe to do that ok thanks
