My dad it’s looking into a 2000 Honda passport v6 rear wheel drive it’s been own by my uncle for the last 15yrs any thoughts on what I should look for? it had some transmission work done in the past any thoughts.
I would skip the transmissions are very weak and you said it was rebuilt plus it is not a Honda it is an Isuzu parts and reliability are signifanctly different. Until 2002 it was an Isuzu Rodeo. It is a used car anything could we wrong. Buying cars from extended family or friends usually ends bad... I would look for a CR-V on private market for example those are Honda quality made SUVs. Always have a mechanic check a car out before purchase as well.
What kind of transmission work? If you’re not sure or it’s not transparent, pass & find another good used car.
No matter what you buy (or who you buy it from), have it checked out by a professional mechanic, before you buy it. Especially something which has a history of transmission work.
The transmissions was fully rebuilt
@inthrustwetrust
